A Priest and a Rabbi…

A priest and a rabbi are sitting next to each other on an airplane. After
a while the priest turns to the rabbi and asks, “Is it still a requirement
of your faith that you not eat pork?”

Ham_Sandwich

The rabbi responds, “Yes, that is still one of our beliefs.

The priest then asks, “Have you ever eaten pork?”

To which the rabbi replies, “Yes, on one occasion I did succumb to temptation and tasted a ham sandwich.

The priest nodded in understanding and went on with his reading.

A while later, the rabbi spoke up and asked the priest, “Father, is it
still a requirement of your church that you remain celibate?

The priest replied, “Yes, that is still very much a part of our faith.”

The rabbi then asked him, “Father, have you ever fallen to the temptations of the flesh?

The priest replied, “Yes, rabbi, on one occasion I was weak and broke with my faith.”

The rabbi nodded understandingly. He was silent for about five minutes.

And then he said, “Beats the hell out of a ham sandwich, doesn’t it?

Two people who get it

2) Dr. Melissa Clouthier :

“The base is sick of people who pay lip service to ideas like small government and fiscal responsibility and then turn around and govern like drunk liberals spending other peoples’ money.

Axlerodisms and the End of Hope

I have no idea…

Do people still use the phrase ‘going dutch’ ?

Update : From Wikipedia :

The phrase “going Dutch” probably originates from Dutch etiquette. In the Netherlands, it is not unusual to pay separately when going out as a group. When dating in a 1 on 1 situation however, the man will most commonly pay for meals and drinks. English rivalry with The Netherlands especially during the period of the Anglo-Dutch Wars gave rise to several phrases including Dutch that promote certain negative stereotypes. Examples include Dutch courageDutch ovenDutch uncle andDutch wife. The particular stereotype associated with this usage is the idea of Dutch people as ungenerous and selfish.

I still want to know if people actually use the phrase…
